Why two visits a year
A furnace runs for 1,500 hours or more in a Simcoe County winter and an air conditioner for several hundred in summer. Both build up dust, lose refrigerant through tiny leaks, drift out of adjustment and wear parts that give warning signs long before they fail. A technician who sees the system every six months catches a weakening capacitor, a cracking heat exchanger or a clogged drain before it becomes a no-heat call at midnight. Members have roughly half the emergency calls of non-members.
What the plan costs and saves
The Comfort Club costs about seventeen dollars a month, or a little under two hundred a year, for a furnace and AC. Two tune-ups booked separately cost more than that on their own, before the 15 percent repair discount and the overtime savings. Add the extended equipment life and the lower gas and hydro bills of a clean, tuned system and the plan pays for itself for almost every home. Additional systems, water heaters and heat pumps can be added for a small amount each.
Referrals and loyalty
Members who refer a neighbour get a credit on their next renewal, and the neighbour gets their first year at a discount. Most of our new customers come from people we already work for, and this is our way of saying thanks.
